Virginia’s Governor called a special session to deal with the rash of gun violence plaguing our communities. Speaker Cox closed the session not allowing a single measure to be voted on.
Speaker Cox has also refused to allow a vote to ban anti-gay discrimination in employment and housing. He even blocked a vote to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.
Speaker Cox is vulnerable this election after federal courts redrew his district from one that favors Republicans by 26 points to one that favors Democrats by 6 points. Your donations will make the difference in defeating Speaker Cox and replacing him with Sheila Bynum-Coleman, an African-American Democrat and help wrest control of the Virginia House of Delegates from Republicans supported by the NRA.

Ohio State Representative and candidate for State Senate
In response to the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, OH, Candice Keller blamed “transgender, homosexual marriage, and drag queen advocates” as well as marijuana, President Obama and “open borders.” Keller of course, never mentioned the hateful white supremacist rhetoric of Donald Trump or Fox News. Nor did she address the over-abundance of guns and the easy availability of assault weapons.

Larry Stutts voted for the Alabama abortion law that makes abortion illegal at any state of pregnancy, even in cases of rape and incest. The law would impose stricter criminal sentences on doctors who perform abortion (99 years in prison) than on convicted rapists.
